“Make it your life mission to strengthen the faith of your brothers”

After 15 years as Iris Global missionaries in Africa, God has given a new adventure/assignment to the Nicole tribe in Asia! Strategically based out of Manila, this family on a mission seeks to empower indigenous leaders/missionaries in this final hour of harvest. The Nicoles are pioneering a new Iris ministry center in Rizal/Manilla while also traveling/doing training throughout Southeast Asia, America and beyond.
Nepal has been seriously devastated by the recent earthquake. Over 8,000 people have died (with death toll rising), thousands more are injured, and countless more have been displaced. Many homes, temples, and public monuments have been destroyed throughout the affected areas.$0.00 donated of $10,000.00 goal
COVID 19 virus/lockdown has brutally affected the Philippines.
The extended quarantines goal in shielding the elderly/immunocompromised, unfortunately is causing an equally devastating mass hunger/malnutrition crisis for the poorest of the poor. Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, like some people, letters of recommendation to you or from you? You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everyone. You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.

Jean and Teisa absolutely walk in a Kingdom reality knowing their identity and are laid down servant leaders!! I have the privilege of knowing Jean and Teisa for the last 6 years and serving alongside of them in South Africa for 4 years. They value relationship and people first and trust that each one hears from God and deeply desire that each person will walk in the fullness of their calling and destiny doing all that they can to come alongside making that happen. They have huge hearts for discipleship and expanding the Kingdom of God, I have grown so much in the ways of the Kingdom of God because of my friendship and serving alongside Jean and Teisa!!
Comella Nicholes- missionary to the nations.
When I first arrived to the Iris base in Mpumalanga, Teisa and Jean who were the base leaders showed me great hospitality and made me fall in love with their family. Ever since that time they became my spiritual parents. I had a chance to observe the way they minister for years. They were a tesimony of Jesus in the community they lived in, as they were known for their true devotion to the African people. Despite coming from a western culture, they were not creating barriers and they were raising their kids in the local community which made them respected and appreciated by the people around them, as they were serving the locals with no reservation. Teisa and Jean Nicole made an impact on my life and many others in South Africa through their genuine love, giving hearts and open arms to welcome the broken. Jean and Teisa are such inspiring and loving friends and leaders. They are huge rolemodels when it comes to generosity and devotion to Jesus. We are greatly inspired by the way they seek to make Gods kingdom manifest around them and their willingness to go wherever he calls. We thank God for the blessing it was to be serving under their leadership during our time as missionaries with Iris in South Africa. During that time they really made an impact on our lives and how we want to follow Jesus as a family.

Jean and Teisa were not only my leaders but became dear friends during the nine years I served with them in South Africa. Their everyday norm is to love God and people outlandishly lavishly. Their burning hearts for God are fueled by their constant hunger for more of His Presence. Every time I would ask them how to pray for them, they would answer, “Pray for more of Jesus”. In this constant search for His Kingdom and righteousness they live, lead, and serve faithfully, humbly, and joyfully daily . They are truly laid -down lovers in the fields of harvest.

We are in the process of transferring 12+ years of blog content from Africa- please forgive our mess as we sort this out! Blogs might be a bit out of order as we catch up!
One of Jean’s highlights from his February trip to Manila was teaching in Tondo, the largest slum area of metro-Manila. As hungry kids gathered waiting for the meal, Jean shared about blind Bartimaeus and the power of faith and calling out to Jesus. The hungry always get fed in Jesus! Our entire family cannot wait to minister together at these care points in Manila!
Its amazing to watch our girls embrace their individual callings in this adventure. Johanna and Glori conquered ‘Gus on the Go” an app to help kids learn Tagalog. They continue to search out new videos on life in the Philippines and Filipino culture. And important things like sharpening their karaoke skills! Keep praying for our girls on their journey to Manila.
